Site
The area of the mid-Tigris project is located in Wasit province within the jurisdiction of Essaouira and Numaniyeh between two latitudes (26°32 – 06°33) north and two length lines (53°44 – 44°45) east. The area on both sides of the Tigris River extends between the front of the city of Essaouira to the west about 50 km southeast of Baghdad and the city of Numaniyah to the east about 30 km west of Kut city and between The Low and the Nahrawan Canal, about 10 km on the left side of the Tigris River to the north and the general estuary on the right side of the Tigris River to the south.
The total area of the project is 600,178 dunums and the net area is 528,157 dunums.
The project’s land is currently being irrigated by pumping from the waters of the Tigris River.

Description of the work:
- Conducting the work of updating the topographic survey (ground survey) and the facilities
- Detailed designs of irrigation and diesel networks and mechanical and construction designs for the pumping station
- Preparing geotechnical investigations.
